I was diagnosed for a quintuple bypass in February 1994.
I have been successfully on the Ornish program since then, in
lieu of a quintuple bypass. I have participated in a one-week
Ornish retreat sponsored by the Oregon Research Institute,
and also participated as a volunteer in an ORI two-year study
of women on the Ornish program. In 1996 and 1998,  I was a
volunteer at the Ornish retreat at the Claremont in Oakland, CA.
I founded and have coordinated the Greater Eugene, Oregon
Support Group since 1994.
